Trainer and Assessor – Multiple Positions

Tamworth Community College is an established registered training organisation and charity that provides quality community-based training, education, and student support to our regional communities. Our programs service a range of learners, including young people, workplace trainees, jobseekers, people with different abilities, culturally and linguistically diverse communities, seniors and other community members seeking new skills, personal growth, and development.
We are growing and seeking exceptional Trainer and Assessors for a vast range of qualifications and courses, including:
- BSB20120 Certificate II in Workplace Skills
- BSB30120 Certificate III in Business
- BSB40320 Certificate IV in Entrepreneurship and New Business
- BSB40520 Certificate IV in Leadership and Management
- BSB41419 Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety
- BSB50420 Diploma of Leadership and Management
- CHC22015 Certificate II in Community Services
- CHC33021 Certificate III in Individual Support
- FNS30322 Certificate III in Accounts Administration
- FSK10119, FSK10219, FSK20119 (Foundation Skills)
- TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
- Language, Literacy, Numeracy, Digital and Employability (LLNDE)
- Information Technology and Digital (Microsoft Office Suite, MYOB, Social Media)
- Worksite, Health and Safety (Chemical User, Emergency Warden, Confined Spaces, Low Voltage Rescue, Test & Tag, White Card, Heights, SWNP)
- Responsible Conduct of Gambling (RCG)
Employment is on a casual basis. Training may be delivered on or off campus, and delivery modes may be face-to-face, a blended hybrid model, or visiting workplace trainees.
The key responsibilities include designing and delivering high-quality training and assessment, which:
- Is student-centred.
- Facilitates engaging learning experiences and motivates students to complete their training.
- Supports students in increasing their confidence and employability.
- Is culturally safe, inclusive, and responsive to needs and abilities.
You will also be required to complete training and assessment records promptly and accurately, continue to learn and grow as a Trainer Assessor through your own professional development, and work within a team to participate in the development, validation and moderation of training and assessment practice and materials which forms part of our quality improvement activities.
Selection Criteria:
Essential
- TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, equivalent or higher.
- Experience and qualifications in your chosen field.
- Be prepared to undertake regular professional development and compliance tasks relevant to your industry/ vocational training, assessment practices, and processes.
- Demonstrated success working with people from a broad range of backgrounds, including young people and First Nations people.
- Ability to engage, energise and build rapport with students.
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously with minimal direct supervision.
- High-level written, verbal and interpersonal skills.
- Working with Children Check or the ability to obtain.
- Current driver's license.

Expression of Interest for Lifestyle and Non-Accredited Course Trainers
Lifestyle and Non-Accredited courses provide our community with opportunities to learn new skills, share their interests and have fun. We offer a range of new and exciting courses each term, as well as student favourites.
